A Hairy Chest & The Port

I found lots of areas to return to, but the University won't be one. As beautiful as the structure and the setting are, it's a bit unto itself. After discovering the University (and I say discover not to allocate undue credit to myself, but everything feels like a discovery when you are consistently, albeit pleasantly, lost), I made my way back to Passeig Colom. This main thoroughfare runs perpendicular to La Rambla.
I followed Passeig Colom into a really cute niche, "The Born" and spent some time in the Bascilica Santa Monica del Mar. I tried to find the Museu de Picasso (but perhaps I'll have better luck tomorrow), and traipsed along until I got to Port Vell instead. I guess I hadn't thought much of ports before; this port is beautiful. For someone who doesn't like to take pictures, I can't stop taking pictures (which is a problem because I don't have a memory card (because I usually don't like taking pictures), and I can only keep 8 pics at a time...lots of basura before the end of the day when I have my elite eight).

While I do not belong to Facebook, I did join Barcelona Metropolitan, so I attended their "mixer" tonight at the Bleu Margarita. I should have intuited enough to order a margarita. I had a Negroni which was equal parts gin, campari and red vermouth; I may return with a hairy chest after that. The bar was in another very cool subsection just along the port, and even though I was lost I had lots of fun looking at everything while looking for the Bleu. I shall definitely return to eat as it seems to be full of tapas and drinks.
